I’ve been talking in vc for awhile but I feel like I haven’t made any connections with people. It’s just hard for me because I can’t relate to most of the people in the discord. I don’t have a PC so I haven’t been able to play most of the games that everybody else plays together or discusses. I feel like I’m too quiet in the VC but there’s just not a lot I can add to the conversation sometimes when it comes to things like this. And when I do say things I usually just end up embarrassing myself. I could really use some advice because I feel like the creep in the corner of the room when everyone hangs out lmao.

That's a tough one anon. I also struggle to use Discord in any capacity outside of lurking. That's why I appreciate having the board and being able to text gumpai directly.
What sorts of hobbies do you have? Anime? Manga? Art? It might be worth it to create a thread about your interest, or do something in the Discord. Not having a computer does limit what you can do (not sure how you could host watch parties with just a phone), but it's likely there are others who share your interests.

No use trying to compete with high energy folks if you yourself aren't high energy

I lurked for a while, forced my self to chime in where I could. Still feel more comfortable about typing over yapping.

You have to put yourself out there, i feel like I made a connection with a few people here by focusing on what interests me that is shared by a few.

VC is only going to get bigger.
